14th min. Fowler has shot on target held by Kiely. Reyna provided the cross after good build up work through Barton and Macken.
16th min. Macken misses great chance one on one with Charlton keeper. The striker was put through by Fowler but let Kiely gather the ball at his feet.
18th min. City again denied by Kiely. Fowler sets up Macken whose shot from eight yards is parried by Charlton for a corner.
23rd min. Reyna has great shot deflected by Hreidarsson from just inside the area. Fowler once again provided the vital pass as City dominate.
39th min. GOAL Charlton 1- 2 City Robbie Fowler scores his tenth of the season heading home at the far post from Barton corner.
HALF TIME City take 2-1 lead into half time with goals from Dunne and Fowler in a half in which the Blues dominated the play with Jon Macken missing two great chances.
61st min. Subtle touch from Fowler puts Reyna in for first City attack of the second half. The midfielder wins a corner but Dunne heads over.
86th min Fowler and Macken combine but Kiely saves close range effort from Macken.
FULL TIME: Charlton 2-2 City. A last minute equaliser denies City their first win under Stuart Pearce. An own goal and a Robbie Fowler strike had given the Blues a 2-1 half time lead only to see Chris Perry score the equaliser in time added on.
From BBC -- Robbie Fowler's six-yard finish put City back in front on 38 minutes but Perry slotted home with seconds to go.
First Dean Kiely blocked Fowler's deflected shot, then the keeper used his legs twice in quick succession to deny Jonathan Macken as the striker bore down on goal.
Charlton fans began to voice their disapproval at their team's inability to keep possession, and their fears proved well-founded as City re-took the lead on 38 minutes.
A cross from the left was not picked up by the static Addicks defence and Fowler nipped in at the far post to slot home high into the net.
Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce:
"I thought my team were exceptional. Everyone knows we maybe deserved to win the game 4-1 or 5-1 but I don't ask for sympathy from anyone.
"The players were very disappointed afterwards and so was I. But there were some great performances.
"I feel sorry for the players. They deserved their first win under me but hopefully that will come next weekend(against Liverpool)."
