Thai club to unveil Fowler on Sunday

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Former England and Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler has joined Muangthong United and will be formally unveiled Sunday, the Thai Premier League (TPL) club said in a statement Friday.
Fowler will have his medical Saturday before the 36-year-old striker completes his surprise move to the Thai club, having quit A-League team Perth Glory in June saying he did not want to uproot his young family again for another season in Australia.
He would be officially unveiled as a Muangthong player at the club's stadium Sunday, deputy chairman Wiluck Lohtong was quoted as saying on the club website (www.mtutd.tv).
Club officials could not be reached for further details about Fowler's contract.
According to a local media report, Fowler would be the seventh foreign recruit of the side, who won back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010.

Although now Robbie Fowler moved from Liverpool to Leeds United and now Manchester City ,I still love him. Before he left, I used to tell you that I want him go because Liverpool is not the same team like 8 years ago(the first time I saw them in 1995/1996).Now Liverpool is the team that wants to get trophy ,it doesn't entertain the fans like before.I felt boring since the season 2001/2002 because they didn't try to score much but they try to defence and let the other to attack.It is not RED MACHINE now!!! The Real Red Machine must try to score & attack the others.I don't care the goals that it was scored because football is the game that two teams try to score each other for win the game but if two teams don't try to score ,will football have spectators like today? I think I haven't like Liverpool since Gerard Houllier came to be a manager with Roy Evans.I didn't care when Liverpool lost because I want to see the real football that some matches it win,some matches it lose and some matches it draw.And I love Liverpool because it is Red Machine.Now I don't love Liverpool like before it is not because Robbie moved to Leeds but I think Robbie moved to Leeds is the last motive(the climax) and I think Gerard Houllier came to Liverpool and Liverpool couldn't keep Steve McManaman in the team are the first motive and other motives are Liverpool bought many players more than demand then the players aren't happy such as Liverpool had ever had 4 goalkeepers[Sander Westerveld,Dudek,Peggy Aphexard and ?(I have forgotten his name.)] and it is not fair for Sander Westerveld When Liverpool bought 2 GKs when he couldn't save a goal,Sander is a GK so he couldn't save every shoot all the game it is not strange but why Houllier don't command the players to try to score. Now I support Man City because Robbie plays there and I support Southampton too.I have supported Southampton for more than 5 years because they tried to survive in Premier League that time.
